The teams across All Care Veterinary Network do more than care for pets throughout East Metro Atlanta. They truly enjoy doing it together, and this past July our Wellspring Animal Hospital team celebrated that with its first kickball tournament.
No team is complete without a name, and after some debate that only a veterinary team could have, they became the Wellspring Whipworms. The intestinal parasite made it onto the tees, too.
The afternoon featured kickball as the main event, with cornhole, bocce, and ladder toss going on around the sidelines. There was music, plenty of friendly competition, and a lot of good energy.
Families were welcome, and many came out. Loved ones cheered from the sidelines, and a few jumped in to play. Several team members welcomed little ones this past year, and nearly every one of the "Wellspring babies" made an appearance.
The day held a nice surprise, too. Dannie, a former team member who left for veterinary school up north, was back in town and stopped by. A few clients swung by to say hello and wish her well.
Mellow Mushroom pizza, cookies, and chips kept everyone fed, and by the end of the day the whole team headed home in great spirits. It was exactly the kind of break that reminds us how much our people enjoy working together.
